Iron Pot Bay

The Mani family purchased the vineyard in May, 2013.

Planted in 1988, with 5.25Ha under vine, there are eight varieties; Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Utilising old school practices, the vines are hand pruned and handpicked. A 20 megalitre dam irrigates the vineyard.

The cellar door or ‘The Cottage’ as it is fondly known was designed and built in 1907 by Alexander North, master architect of the late 19th early 20th centuries. His art deco design is reflected in touches throughout the cottage. Century old trees in the garden provide a shady oasis in the summer.

Daughter, Ashli is in New Zealand studying a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology, the story continues…
