Pressing Matters

Established by the Melick family in 2006, Pressing Matters has been producing premium Pinot Noir and Rieslings in Southern Tasmania’s Coal River Valley region. Our Rieslings range from super-dry to dessert level of sweetness.

To date we have won 38 trophies (including 10 Most Successful Exhibitors) and over 200 medals, a testament to the quality of the Coal Valley soils and winemaking.

With the acquisition of our neighbouring vineyard, Morningside (established in 1980), the Hall family have joined us and we look forward to expanding our vineyard and range to include Chardonnay and Cabernet from some wonderful older vines.
